When ordering, you see another button with a yellow envelope, and that is Contact Seller. If you are in a hurry to order or you are afraid that it will expire protection period, so contact the seller. Ask him about the status of your order. For example, the seller may extend your protection period.
Aliexpress has added to the new rules that you can open a dispute for another 15 days after the end of the protection period. So, even if you forget to extend the protection deadline so you can still open a dispute.

We definitely recommend that you admit that the shipment has arrived. Aliexpress sees in the system that you have taken over the order. Unfair, you risk permanently canceling your Aliexpress account.
Sometimes the seller will offer you a refund to your PayPal account and ask you to cancel the dispute. In no case do we recommend this variant. Because once you cancel the dispute, you no longer have any leverage on the seller and it goes beyond Aliexpress.
